Opening Ceremony of Wuxi Grand Theater held on 30th April
Huan Lixin of the Wuxi Municipal Party Committee introduced the first performance by saying the Wuxi Grand Theater was a “key cultural project” and was the “largest investment in Wuxi’s history”.
Zhu Kejiang the Mayor of Wuxi expressed that “Wuxi Grand Theater is a landmark of Taihu New City and Wuxi spreading modern culture” and makes an important “contribution to Wuxi’s cultural prosperity and modernisation.”
Wang Guozhong from the Wuxi propaganda department presented to Professor Pekka Salminen an award from the Wuxi municipal government for his contribution as the main designer of the Wuxi Grand Theater.
